There’s only one thing wrong with these - they don’t wear out!

Almost any mechanical sharpening takes too much off tools compared to sharpening with diamond but with chainsaws this also applies to conventional “Rat’s Tail” files which rip out metal wearing your chain out in the process.

Sharpening with a DMT®Diamond Chainsaw File is not only fast but increases chain life up to ten times were told by our customers who say they would never go back to the old type conventional files.
Nor would they sharpen with a machine either!

The secret to their long life is to use hardly any pressure twisting the file on each stroke forwards, backwards and forwards again. (Once, twice & once for luck as one customer put it!) If you dong an edge just use a little more pressure and keep going until the nick is taken out. This can take as little as a minute.
